Classes

Learn the requirements as set out by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the classes we offer to meet the requirements to get you a CDL.

Federal Requirements

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) implemented a law in 2022 requiring Entry Level Driver Training for all new CDL holders, candidates that want to upgrade to a Class A or B license, or obtain HazMat, Passenger or School Bus endorsements for the first time. There are 3 components to this: Theory (classroom), Range (driving in a controlled environment) and Behind-the-Wheel (driving on roadways). Integrated CDL is a Registered Training Provider with the FMCSA for all classes and endorsements found in Montana.

All candidates are required to be substance free (0% blood alcohol content while in class, and pass a drug screen) and are subject to random testing per the FMCSA.

Need both the theory (classroom) and drive training? This is the package for you.

Our Full Package

Our Full Package includes you testing for your Class A license, all endorsements (HazMat, School Bus, Passenger, Tank, Doubles/Triples) with no restrictions (Air Brakes, Manual Transmission). We spend 6 days in the classroom covering theory, then multiple weeks on the pre-trip inspection and driving a Class A Tractor/Trailer combination and a school bus to give you the knowledge and skills to take and pass the written and driving tests in the state of Montana. The costs for all written tests, driving tests, and background check for HazMat are included in the package (Real ID fee is not included). With a Class A license, all endorsements, and no restrictions, you are licensed to drive all vehicles in the state of Montana.

Total cost for this package is $4,700.00 effective 5/1/2022. Funding is available for some individuals through the Montana Job Service and the Montana HELP-Link Plan.

All candidates are required to be substance free (0% blood alcohol content while in class, and pass a drug screen) and are subject to random testing per the FMCSA.
